Ok, so for those of us in Aus the opening ceremony is going to be on SBS at 12 - 1 :30 in the morning... who needs sleep??? noooo

Rumored to be performing (apart from the obvious Il Divo) will be the Ten Tenors, Kane Alexander, Shakira and I'm sure many more talented performers ...

SBS has definitely caused some frustration for a number of people ( - no, I'm not psychic, got the feeling from comments in other threads). Mad

Not only was the Opening Ceremony not shown in it's entirety, there was only one music performance screened and no, it was not Il Divo Sad or any of the other major performers that were rumored to have been in attendance....Shakira, Patrizio Buanne and ofcourse, our own Aussies men, Kane Alexander and Ten Tenors....

Fortunately, clips are being posted on www.youtube.com - TIP: search for 2006 FIFA...

I am a bit confused though, according to what I have seen on the net, Kane was meant to be in Brisbane on the 12th June for a performance at the Brisbane Cup, so how could he have been at the Opening Ceremony.
