I was shocked and saddened to hear the news this morning that world class Tenor Luciano Pavarotti has passed away at the age of 71, at his home in Italy. Although Pavarotti had been ill for sometime, it is still very sad news not only for his family, loved ones, friends, but also for the world of opera. It is a great loss and he will be sadly missed.
