I've just had an email-i'll get my cd is around 3 weeks hyper

Personally the next 3 weeks are going to seem
like forever Embarassed

And even more so after hearing
a sample from "my eyes adored you"-oh my Crying or Very sad

In the last few weeks i've been hearing a lot of
music from the 60's/70's and this song,when I
heard Frankie Valli sing it,then the Jersey Boys
had me in tears Embarassed

I can't even describe my
feelings after hearing a lil' of Alfio's version...

ALFIO "Classic Rewinds"

Its been just over two years since ALFIO the man with
those famous 'bedroom eyes' gave his deliciously romantic
debut album 'Tranquilita' first to Australia & as recently in
late 2007 to the wider world.

There are shadows of that album here with the rousing
"Our dream" (Il Nostro Sogno).

This song will alwayshold a special place in my heart,as it was
the very first song that I heard him sing well over 2 years ago.

But is 'Our dream' any better than the original? In one word
yes and in another word no.

That's not a negative comment towards the song in any way.

Nothing will ever better the feeling I received when I first
heard 'Il Nostro Sogno'-Alfio simply took my breath away.

Then when I first heard 'Our Dream' I litrally was knocked
off where I was seated as I listened-Yes!! It's that good!!!

There are 18 other offerings on the cd to delight every
variety of choice.

Wether you want to simply chill or 'shake it' with the best
of them,you will find something here for you.

If I covered everyone of the other 18 songs here,this would
take me simply hours to write-so I will cover what I will
call the 'highlights'

I have to admit that some of the singers whos songs on
'Classic Rewinds are covered are unfamiliar names to me
-but as each song swiftly played-they were all too familiar to
me.

I don't like to pick favourites,as it will sound like I do not appreciate
the rest of the music but thats far from the case.

"The Impossible Dream" was recently covered by theatreland
group TEATRO but the two versions are different in many
aspects.

Those 4 sings give the song an anthemic quality whereas
ALFIO graces the all too brief version and laces it with pure
soul and rippling romance throughout.

"My Eyes Adored You"...oh my! I make no secrets to you all
that this song had me in tears when I heard only an extract
a few weeks before the cd arrived.

In the last few months i've discovered the music of Frankie
Valli & The 4 Seasons through the Jersey Boys and this was
always the song that stood out in so many ways.

To hear that Alfio had recorded it for this cd was more than
a dream...a song sung with so much grace,passion and the
natural romantic touch from ALFIO's timeless vocals.

"ALWAYS"...I admit I was very wary to hear this was included.

Maybe because Alfio & Jon Bon Jovi are two totally different
characters.

Could Alfio carry off recording a rock ballad? The answer is
yes! He carries it off with ease with touches of a rising
anthemic quality about it.
